ALFA MIST PEOPLE (FEAT. KAYA THOMAS-DYKE)

Alfa Mist has just dropped his new album Bring Backs. Following up to the release, he's been teasing us with a few grabbing singles, including 'Run Outs', 'Organic Rust', and 'Teki'. Now the new record has landed, and it's more impressive than we expected. With soundscapes spanning from jazz, and indie, to hip-hop and classical; it's a real melting pot of genres, with some unexpected twists and turns. One track that particularly caught our attention is 'People', featuring bass and vocals from Kaya Thomas-Dyke, an artist that has previously collaborated with Alfa on the track 'Breathe'. One of the most mellow tracks on the album, 'People' is centred around emotive guitar plucks and distant echoes of bongos and percussion. Cello from Peggy Nolan creates a state of day dream, expanding on the subtly jazzy melodies of Kaya Thomas-Dyke's stirring vocals. 'People' has a strong cinematic sentiment, combing the best elements of folk and jazz for a dreamy tune. Check out 'People' and the rest of Alfa Mist's Bring Backs - out now on Anti. -Ellie Rose-Davies
